| The GJLA would like to thank Mr. Sam Allison who appeared at our July meeting to discuss evictions and how landlords can deal with troublesome tenants. Constable Allison agreed to join us at an upcoming meeting so please plan on attending. If you have an out of control tenant and are unsure what your next step is he is the man to ask.
Some reasons why you should join the GJLA today... The GJLA Rental Agreement. Members can download a copy here. The Rental Agreement was written by our attorney, David Raho, and contains clauses and language you need to protect yourself and your property. Enjoy membership in the Johnstown Credit Bureau, and receive discounts for credit reports and collection services. You can learn how to check your prospective tenants in their Tenant Database. Access the GJLA members' website with over 250 articles, videos and links of interest to landlords and property managers. Download all our current documents and add your own comments. The GJLA maintains a database of all tenants who have had a Landlord-Tenant Complaint filed against them in the last 4 years in Cambria and surrounding counties. Our members can search that database to help qualify their tenants. It's here! The GJLA Rental Application. Created by our members, this form includes many of the questions you will need to improve your tenant screening process. Members can download it here. We have a comprehensive library of documents and forms that would take hours to find on your own. Meet with other landlords and property managers to discuss best practices for your rental business. These benefits are free for our members and available now! Check our members' website for more details.
The GJLA has created a small, safe Windows program to download to your computer... Just download the file, unzip it and double click for a bit of wisdom from the GJLA.
GJLA members can now advertise their properties online using PROA, get answers and give advice on PROA's Answer Line, and receive huge discounts from Sherwin-Williams. The GJLA has joined PROA's Board of Directors and will vote on matters of concern to our members. The GJLA thanks PROA and its memers for welcoming our representatives in Harrisburg recently.
